Sure to be Shenanigans
Help me and some other authors support some very worthy causes
Today, a bunch of authors (including me) are going to record a charity quiz show. This thing has been in the works for months—planned out in a Facebook Messenger thread that, at times, is so bountiful with comments that I lose track of who is saying what. To be honest, I have no idea what any of these people are saying. But here for the quiz show.
That’s because every author gets to pick a charity, and proceeds from this thing go to that charity, once everything is said and done.
I chose the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (lls.org).
The reason that’s my charity of choice is because on this exact date, 16 August 1997, I lost my grandmother to leukemia. My grandmother—my Granny—one of the most important people in my life. The woman who took me in, made sure I was fed and taken care of, that I got good grades, that I pursued crazy dreams (like writing). She died from this disease that turned her own blood against her. So anything I can do to further the cause of eradicating this thing from existence... count me in.
Even if it means looking like an utter imbecile in front of thousands of people. God knows I do that for free most of the time anyway.
Today we’re recording the event, but on Monday, 19 August, you can tune in and watch me and several other authors flounder our way through questions about topics we’ve probably never heard of. One of the organizers, Allison Valentine, put it best: “There’s sure to be shenanigans.”
I got a buzzer and everything. Many will rue the day I got the buzzer. All show bow before my buzzery might.
I hope you’ll tune in. The whole thing will happen on Facebook, so if you follow me there (https://www.facebook.com/kevin.tumlinson) I’ll be sharing links as I get them. You can also see who’s playing along in the graphic below.
Come root for your favorite author! And for me. Root for me, also.

Worthy cause, snd can't wait to watch the antics. I'll make popcorn for this
