That’s really brave. My adventuresome nature resonates with that, but fear of stepping out into that lifestyle definitely has a grip on me. My daughter-in-law can chuck anything on a whim. Me, I’m stricken with sentimentalism. Good luck on your new journey!
I think that's wonderful. The fact you've done it before, you know what it takes. I agree about letting go. We've downsized a lot too, but I've had dreams of full time nomad life. My husband, on the other hand, doesn't share that dream. So, I'm not sure that it will ever happen. I'll certainly be watching your adventures and want to see lots of pics of the beautiful places you end up setting up camp for awhile. God Bless you and your wife on this renewed journey.
I’ve always been fiercely independent and nomadic, and Kara has become comfortable with going along with it. She also, oddly, tends to be the instigator in these things. I think we’re going to have a great time.
So, what you wrote about in this post essentially checks all my boxes. I understand the need to simplify and pare down for the sake of mobility and financial freedom. I am also nomadic. I have lived here in Georgia longer than I've lived anywhere. But I often muse about "living in the van down by the river". Is it realistic? Eh. But with God, all things are possible. Speaking of which, I will pray for you and your wife. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
I will always take prayers, so thank you! And thank you as well for the very kind words and support. Here’s to your own adventure, whatever it ends up looking like!
Talk to you from the road! Enjoy your lightness of being! 🏋️♀️🤾♀️💪🌳🕊️

Good for you!! Been there, done that, too, till my husband passed away. Then back to family. Enjoy every minute !!!
This will be our third official time to do this full time, and I think we might finally have learned how to do it right. We’re looking forward to it!
Good Luck and safe travels. It is refreshing in that this puts your fate in your own hands rather than circumstances dictating your outcome.
