I love the underlying insight that there are far more important things than grades—which usually means conforming to someone else's expectations, and I say that as someone who has made a living as a college professor for over 40 years. I'm supposed to teach them critical thinking skills, and I do my best, but they come to me suffering from the effects of No Child Left Untested, and they just want me to show them the hoop so they can jump through it and get their doggie biscuits.
Truth is far more important than mere factuality. Kudos to you for pursuing truth.
