One thing that I thought I’d mention is not to give up fully on dictating. Like any skill, it needs practice. I’m not a natural verbal storyteller, but I’ve poked at dictation off and on for several years—mostly after the SPP guys touted it. When I had a 40 minute commute much of last year, I would frequently dictate to get the juices flowing—and would get mad at my husband when he would call to check on me for interrupting my flow!
I think one thing that has actually helped me is the fact I started playing D&D about 6 years ago. I still prefer the text-based RP that many of my DM’s allow in our games, but the sessions force me to be able to get out what I need to say verbally, and to make decisions (which Force power is my Jedi going to use here?) aloud. It’s not a 1:1 equation, that’s for sure, but playing TTRPGs has definitely made me more comfortable dictating my books.
I feel like I've been rethinking my author strategy since the first day I became an author. Probably good to constantly look at where you are and what you're doing, and apply what you've learned. Feels like there's a koan or some other wise thing in there somewhere.
I listened on my podcast app a couple days ago!

Good podcast. Lot to think about here.
