But I wanted to circle back and comment on your Note at the End, where you talked about how no one enjoys suffering, but we go through it and come out better on the other side. As I listened, I couldn’t help but think—and maybe you said this earlier before I paused, or maybe it’s just something you've already thought about—but that’s exactly what we do to our characters. We make them suffer, and through that, they grow and change. That’s what makes stories interesting and relatable. So it hit me: if that’s how our characters grow, maybe that’s how we grow, too. Which maybe explains why my characters laugh at me. But that's another story.
